Future Expansion

Future Expansion
Although Hong Kong Disneyland remains the smallest in size among all the others around the globe, the extension of Phase 1 has already started. 2 themed areas, Autopia and Raging Spirits, are scheduled to be opened in 2006 and 2007 respectively,
Autopia. Autopia is a portmanteau of "automobile utopia". It is one of the few attractions that opened with the first park in 1955 and has remained open since. It was then opened in one form or another in California, France and Tokyo. At the point of its opening in 1955, it was designed to represent the future of what would become America's multilane limited-access highways that were still undergoing drastic development. By Auropia's opening in 2006, it will be the first all-electric version of the popular attraction.
Raging Spirits is a rollercoaster created by Walt Disney Imagineering which debuted at Tokyo DisneySea in July 2005 The Japanese coaster is a copy of the Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril attraction at Disneyland Paris. However, as the title indicates, the theme for "Raging Spirits" is slightly different and features water and fire effects
